      The article focuses on the partnerships between health care providers and area employers in preventive health. Examples of successful proactive care programs that has stemmed the increase in employee premiums are presented in health care systems such as Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa and Logansport Memorial Hospital in Indiana. The health and wellness program's objective of simultaneously making money for health care organizations and reducing costs for employers is discussed.
