The article discusses an alternative view on interpreting and extracting information from the cumulative distribution function (cdf) curve. According to the author, the main reason for not gaining much distribution information from the cdf curve is because people tend to focus on the ordinate of the curve at a given point. The author suggests the use of cdf curve to describe the key features of underlying distribution instead of converting it into the density function curve.
