    • Abstract:
The article examines the results of a February 2013 survey conducted by the publication which asked college professors to reflect on their experiences teaching massive open online courses (MOOCs) and the effectiveness of such online education. It states that a majority of professors approve of the courses, which are free to anyone with Internet access. Attitudes towards integrating MOOCs into traditional credit and degree programs are covered, as well as how increasing access to higher education provided a motivating factor for the professors to engage in web-based instruction. Professors' workloads and college costs are also discussed.
