      The article acknowledges the influence of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on the direction of contemporary conservatism. It offers an overview of the feud between Palin and Karl Rove, the mastermind of two campaigns of former U.S. President George W. Bush. Credit is given to Palin for endorsing Senator Rand Paul in the Republican primary in 2010 and for her philosophy of constitutional conservatism. Critics of Palin hold her to a different standard than any other politico.
