    • Abstract:
The article describes Swansea Country in South Wales where British poet Dylan Thomas was born and grew up, and where he wrote his poetry such as "18 Poems" and "Fern Hill." It recounts his childhood home, his playground Cwmdonkin Park, and the Swansea Little Theatre where he later learned voice projection. The Gower Peninsula and Rhossili Beach, voted as Great Britain's best beach, are places which added inspiration to Thomas' poems "Who Do You Wish Was With Us" and "Extraordinary Cough."
