As an employee of a hotel, a concierge will invariably direct the visitors to a dining establishment within their hotel. Many hotel guests don't make use of their concierge, who can be a valuable when planning a night on the town. They usually have a full calendar of local events available to reference, and can direct you to night life, help you with theater tickets or tell you how to use public transportation. Hotels encourage the concierge to direct their guests wishing to leave the hotel to local dining establishments and entertainment venues. Many visitors to the city like to sample the myriad ethnic offerings. The Washington city has Italian and Chinese restaurants alongwith plenty of blues clubs, jazz clubs and salsa clubs.
