    • Abstract:
The article discusses the importance of space gardening for astronauts and the Veggie project at the International Space Station (ISS). Since astronauts can not carry all the food they need, space gardens have been developed which also help in producing more oxygen and recycling waste. Veggie at the ISS is helping researchers figure out the effect of radiation and lack of gravity on plants, how much water is good for them and how to deal with the problem of molds.
