    • Abstract:
Mere Christianity is a compilation of a series of talks Lewis gave over the radio between 1941 and 1944. Lewis’s most famous work of nonfiction apologetics, it best encapsulates his Christian philosophy. The talks were written to a common audience and begin by discussing commonsense morality. Condensing and popularizing the work of philosophers and theologians who influenced him, Lewis works his way backward from moral law to God as the lawgiver, and then expands on his understanding of Christianity. The book has greatly influenced Christian evangelization, apologetics, and ecumenism for more than half a century.
