    • Abstract:
The article presents an overview and analysis of the Aboriginal Australian myth of the Seven Sisters. A summary is provided which details the sisters' attempt to pass several trials designed to teach them to control the effects of hunger, pain, and fear in an effort to reach a higher state of being. The article goes on to discuss how the Seven Sisters are depicted in versions from different Aboriginal groups. The role of stars and constellations in Aboriginal mythology is also noted.
