      David Taylor is to take over as managing director of Lightning Source U.K. Ltd., the print-on-demand and digital content company, on January 1, 2004. He succeeds Malcolm Alien, who is retiring. Mr Taylor is currently business development director of the company, having joined in 2003. A former board member of Blackwell's British library supply business, Mr Taylor co-founded Swotbooks.com, the Internet college bookseller of which he remains non-executive chairman. He is a member of the British Booksellers Association Council and chairman of the Internet Booksellers Group. Mr Taylor said that print-on-demand was a rapidly growing technology with enormous potential.
