I'd like to write something that comes from things the way wine comes from grapes.

    • Abstract:
It was strange how we bonded in that week-long seminar. It was midsummer at the New School in NYC. Our topic? Walter Benjamin as Writer. At the end of that week we sat under twinkling lights in a backyard in Brooklyn as Edgar Garcia and Anna Vitale recited their poems turning our hearts inside out and nobody, but nobody, wanted to leave even though it was two in the morning. For us there was no Closing Time. We had come from many parts of the world, professors and graduate students, and we weren't moving. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
