    • Abstract:
This article discusses Bloomsbury Publishing PLC's business plans. Bloomsbury has set out a growth strategy based on organic international expansion, growth in its children's division, and investment in new titles. It follows concerns raised by some shareholders that the publicly listed publisher should be making better use of its spare cash of £32.4m (cash at bank and in hand). The children's division will see seven new positions in editorial, marketing and publicity created across Great Britain and the U.S. by the end of the year. It will focus on picture books, preschool and young adult fiction.
