      This article provides information on the literary works of author and illustrator Loreen Leedy. Leedy's first career as an artist was as a jewelry designer, but after meeting an author/illustrator at the age of twenty-five, she decided that she would like to become one herself. Her first picture book, A number of Dragons, was published in 1985. Since that time, Leedy has written more than twenty self-illustrated books.
