    • Abstract:
The article presents a defense of children's literature and argues that returning to childhood books throughout adulthood can be revelatory. It is shortsighted to relegate fantasy to children's literature alone, as it is one of the primary means of storytelling. Shakespeare helped to fuse fantasy and realism, making English literature one of the primary cites of the fantastic.
