    • Abstract:
A biography of Palestinian writer and filmmaker Mazen Sa'adeh is presented in this essay. As per records, Sa'adeh was born in 1959 and co-founded the Open Workshop for Culture and the Arts in Palestine in 2004. It is stated that his novel "The Scent of Sleep" elaborately describes the 1970 civil war between the army of King Hussein of Jordan and the Palestinian refugees living in Jordan, and recounts the war and its aftermath through the eyes of his protagonist Kar'oush and those closest to him.
