      The article discusses the usage and presence of ecofeminism in the writings of Virginia Woolf. It references Woolf's essay "Eleanor Ormerod" and its possible symbolism on ecological science and environmental order found in women of science. It takes note of the Chipko Movement during the 1970s and its involvement in the development of ecofeministic approach. It also notes the field of ecological literary criticism in the analysis of hierarchical binaries and nature of women and science.
