This article reports on the significance of the Brooklyn Library collection in New York to the motion pictures directed and produced by Ken Burns. Burns always check and see what the library has to offer before he starts a film. He is the director and producer of the Civil War PBS series. He set up his film crew in the library's Brooklyn Collection to film its photographs of Babe Ruth, the Brooklyn Dodgers and others for his next film on baseball history. Ric Burns, brother of Ken, has also used the library as the main archive source for his film which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
