      The article presents highlights from the Student Book Award Event of the Canadian Library Association (CLA) held at the Winnipeg Public Library in Manitoba in 2013. The CLA Book of the Year Award aims to recognize excellence in children's books designed to appeal to readers aged twelve and under. Winners included "You Are Stardust," written by Elin Kelsey for the Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator's Award and Martine Leavitt for the CLA Young Adult Book Award.
