    • Abstract:
The article discusses the phenomenon of "mommy brain," a mental fog linked with pregnancy and the first months of motherhood. It cites various studies on the effects of childbirth to the brain, including a meta-analysis led by Sasha Davies on cognitive differences between pregnant and non-pregnant women, a 2010 study in "Behavioral Neuroscience" journal on changes in brain regions postpartum, and a study led by Elseline Hoekzema which suggests that some brain regions were smaller postpartum.
