- Abstract: The article focuses on the ghosts seen in Angel Island Immigration Station in California. It notes that immigrants of the island stayed there as if they are in prison as they were bombarded with tough laws to keep them out. This leads them to carve Chinese poems into the wall. It points out that one of them was drowned to escape, while the others died in despair.
