      In this article, the author discusses the utilization of primary care in the administration of hepatitis C in opiate-dependent patients. He is critical on approaches used by drug injectors to evaluate the frequency and prevalence of hepatitis C among patients such as screening programmes. He comments that primary care is a good means to bring up screening programmes. He states that primary care organizations in various countries have distinct capacities and responsibilities.
