      Presents information regarding political developments from around the world with emphasis on the U.S. Analysis of the precarious political condition of Europe as revealed by the leak of a confidential cabinet circulation in Great Britain; Suggestion that Great Britain must be guided, in the present unsettled state of things, by strictly selfish policies; Proposal for a mutual compact of security in which Germany should be included; Observation that France will pay her debt to the U.S. on her own but it will depend upon she receives from Germany; Comment of the naval men of the U.S. that the defenses of the country's islands are pitifully inadequate; Observation that the U.S. will develop Hawaii as the strongest outpost targeted at Japan; Observation that World War I broke that monopoly of potash which rested with excessive weight upon intensive agriculture; Intention of the U.S. congress to repeal war-time passport control and the espionage act; Information that since the close of the last session of U.S. Congress the Workers Health Bureau has made a survey of the legislative status of occupational disease, revealing a distinctly unsatisfactory situation.
