- Abstract: The article discusses the concerns and frustrations of riders of the Metro North Commuter Railroad commuter rail between New Haven, Connecticut and New York City as of February 2014. Topics include the substandard safety conditions and quality of service displayed by the railroad, a report released from the National Transportation Safety Board following a December 2013 accident in which a Metro North train derailed and killed four people, and a meeting of state officials with the railroad.
