The article examines how U.S. natives, immigrants, and migrant Hispanic Americans repopulated and revived the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, following World War II. It examines the population growth of Oak Cliff during World War II, racial segregation in Oak Cliff during the mid-20th century, and demographic change in the neighborhood. It also analyzes the Hispanic American population in Dallas, particularly during the late 1950s and early 1960s, the transnationalism of Mexican Americans in the area, and immigrant ownership of business enterprises in Oak Cliff.
