- Abstract: This volume presents transcriptions of Bible studies by Jacques Ellul on the books of Amos and James in the late, mature phase of his career. The book takes the form of a section by section theological commentary on the biblical text that constantly returns to questions of wealth and social power in order to discern the concrete ways these are challenged when Christians love Jesus more than seeking to gain control over their lives. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
