      The article offers information on the announcement of Pope Francis that he would create a commission for the study of the history of women deacons in the Catholic Church. Topics discussed include he gave statement that papal commission was unable to find consensus and give a definitive response on the role of women deacons in the first centuries of Christianity; and discusses that the pope even appears to blame God for not revealing whether women could have a sacramental ordination.
