    • Abstract:
The article critiques feminist activist Ti-Grace Atkinson. The author discusses her relationships with other activists such as Simone de Beauvoir, Betty Friedan, and Florynce Kennedy. She was inspired to become involved in the feminist movement after witnessing the deadly effects of illegal abortions and other instances of discrimination against women. She also discusses debates within the National Organization for Women (NOW) over activist Valerie Solanas' shooting of artist Andy Warhol.
