      The article discusses the use of paleogenomics to study the genomes of homo sapiens (HS) and to track human migration. Topics mentioned include next-generation sequencing, the estimated movement of HS in Africa based on the DNA from fossils found in KwalaZulu-Natal, the paleogenomic study of HS migration outside Africa by paleogenomicist Cosimo Post and colleagues, and the ancient HS migrations in Europe including the one that occurred during the late Neolithic Period.
