    • Abstract:
      The article presents text of the treaty on principles governing the activities of states in the exploration and use of space, including the moon and other celestial bodies. The U.S. and the Soviet Union together with 60 other nations signed the space treaty on January 27, 1967. The space treaty remains to be ratified by the U.S. Senate which requires a two-thirds vote. One of the objectives of the treaty is to recognize the common interest of all mankind in the progress of the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
