      The article looks at the some of the books published in the U.S. in 1941. They include children's books such as "The Sword in the Stone, "The Yearling" and "Goodnight Moon," adult books such as "The Grapes of Wrath," "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "Long Day's Journey Into Night," and critically acclaimed and historically significant books such as "Native Son" by Richard Wright, "The Garden of the Forking Paths' by Jorges Luis Borges, and Black Lamb and Grey Falcon" by Rebecca West.
