    • Abstract:
The article reports on the results of a study of snow samples from around the world, conducted by Brent Christner of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and colleagues. The study showed that bacteria contribute to rainfall. The researchers are referring to particles that come from bacteria with ice-nucleating proteins on their cell surface such as Pseudomonas syringae.
