      The article reports on scientific findings related to archaeology. An analysis published in January 2018 about human remains found in Alaska, dated to about 11,500 years ago, offered information about the movement of people into the Americas from Siberia. Genomes of early inhabitants of Iceland showed mixed Gaelic and Norse ancestry, based on a study published in "Science" magazine. Two studies were published about the role of the Eurasian steppes in human migrations.
