      The article offers a look at the sales performance of paperbacks in the U.S. in 2008. Novels far outdistance nonfiction titles in the best sellers' list. There are, however, a fair number of cookbooks with the same bestselling authors such as Rachael Ray, Martha Stewart and Paula Deen. But the most popular domestic titles are books on pregnancy and child care. A list of trade paperbacks and mass market titles that are ranked based on 2008 sales is presented.
