The article features activist artist Jackie Summell, whose works was inspired by goals of the Black Panther Party. In 2001, Summell collaborated with imprisoned Black Panther member Herman Wallace for her work "The House That Herman Built," which was born out of their conversation from Wallace's dream home if ever he was not imprisoned. Summell said that based on her correspondence with Wallace, he is a dedicated Black Panther who is married to the principles of the Party that enables him to survive any struggles.
