Main Library - Throughout November - Stephanie Ondo is a fiber artist, yarn spinner and natural dyer. Using bio-based materials and natural found objects, she builds pieces that can feel both familiar and strange. Working with naturally occurring materials makes her feel more grounded. Touching and gazing upon organic shapes and materials is one of humanity’s oldest medicines, though people don't experience it enough these days. For this exhibition, Ondo chose to limit her palette to the deep blue of indigo, the blood red of ochre, and the shimmering golden hues of Muga and Ceranchia silkworm. The First Monday Gallery opening reception will take place Nov. 2 from 6-7 p.m
