"The Charleston" became a world-wide phenomenon in the 1920's, but the dance  has roots right here in the lowcountry. Join CCPL's historian, Dr. Nic Butler, as we explore the roots of African-American dance moves and learn about Lowcountry children dancing "The Charleston" in the 1920s.
