"Designs by Mia" by Mia Lassiter

Main Library - Throughout August - Mia Lassiter is a 18-year-old fashion and costume design student at Charleston County School of the Arts. From a young age, she has enjoyed creating artwork and experimenting with a variety of mediums and subjects. She has won top prizes at the Coastal Carolina Fair, including first place in the sewing category this year. In April 2019, Mia had a solo visual arts exhibition entitled “Places and Faces of Charleston” at the Saul Alexander Gallery, and she's thrilled to be selected again by the gallery, this time to showcase a collection of her original garments and fashion illustrations.
