Join us for a conversation with Vicki Ringer, the Director of Public Affairs for Planned Parenthood South Atlantic in South Carolina. Planned Parenthood is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers reproductive health care, sex education and information to millions of people worldwide. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic is the regional affiliate of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, providing healthcare in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Planned Parenthood has served patients in South Carolina for nearly 60 years.

Vicki Ringer is responsible for public policy and legislative affairs, and she works to preserve reproductive health rights in the state. Previously, she served for 15 years as Director of Public Affairs and spokesperson for the South Carolina Department of Revenue, and six years as Director of Public Relations for the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina. She owned her own public relations firm prior to joining Planned Parenthood.

Vicki is a past elder and member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, serves on the Capital Campaign Committee for Delta Zeta Sorority, and is a member of the Junior League of Columbia. She chaired the successful bond referendum campaign for Lexington 1 schools, which at the time was the largest bond referendum in the state’s history.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in journalism, Vicki lives in Lexington with her husband Charlie, daughter Sally, and fearless pups Jack and Lucy.
