Award Winning Artist recognized for developing innovative techniques. Ginny Versteegen is a renowned artist experienced in oil painting and versatile in mixed media experimentation. Disciplined and creative with diverse and varied portfolios showcasing personal achievement on her artistic journey. She has participated and won awards in many juried exhibits and shows, has been honored with featured artist recognition at Charleston Artist Guild, Perspective Gallery and Ibis Galleries in Charleston, SC .

Many of her paintings depict local sights. The color and light of the low country have always fascinated her and she has attempted to capture the dappled light on the pathways and the sparkling light on the waterways in her paintings as she sets up her plen air easel outdoors. Of course, she has not limited her works to this area. Through her travels she has painted all over the world. Having lived abroad in Holland, Brazil and Spain, her paintings have an international influence.  Plein Air painting has been a passion of Ginny's and she believes in painting from life in plein air gives her the advantage to see the color and light first hand. She shares this view with you through her paintings.
