Full time entry level position. Performs routine library functions under professional supervision. Prior library experience helpful but not necessary. Basic clerical and general office work. Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be detailed oriented and flexible to assume additional responsibilities as needed to maintain branch/departmental operations. Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus. May also be required to shelve library materials, must be able to lift book crates weighing up to approximately fifty (50) pounds and/or push book carts weighing up to approximately one hundred (100) pounds. Must have the stamina for periods of walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling and stooping. Evening and weekend work included. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate; possess the ability to get along well with others and the ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with the general public and library staff.

Hiring Salary Range: $22,048.00 - $29,993.60 annually depending on qualifications.
