Part-time position. An energetic, customer focused and team oriented individual is needed for the position of Branch Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, assuring high productivity and maintaining high staff morale. The successful candidate should be a team player with excellent inter-personal and communication skills, innovative ideas and awareness of emerging trends, technologies and best practices in public library services. Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in various computer software and applications; MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher, and social media experience a plus. Other qualities and abilities needed: initiative; accuracy; tact; ability to exercise good judgment; ability to get along well with others in a professional and approachable manner; high aptitude for library work; significant ability to be flexible and adaptable to assume additional responsibilities as needed to maintain branch operations. Evening and weekend work included. Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus. Must have the stamina for walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and sitting. Must be able to push book carts weighing approximately fifty (50) to one hundred (100) pounds.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree plus four (4) years of library or related experience; significant understanding of basic aims and services of libraries; a valid South Carolina driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Hiring Salary Range: $16.68 - $22.69 per hour depending on qualifications – (20) twenty hours per week.
