CHARLESTON, S.C. - The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in a multitude of ways, and we at CCPL are here to present another valuable, local resource. As of May 20th, 2020, nonprofit organization SC Thrive is offering a Rental Assistance program. This program, produced in partnership with the South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority, is intended for citizens of South Carolina who are struggling to pay for housing as a result of coronavirus. SC Thrive is a fantastic organization making federal funds easily accessible to those most in need.

Their website details qualifications and instructions in both writing and video formats as well as answers to Frequently Asked Questions. If you have questions regarding the Rental Assistance Program or other services offered, you may contact SC Thrive at 800-726-8774 Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Since 2014, SC Thrive helps people in our state connect to a multitude of funds and services to assist them in taking steps towards a more independent and financially secure life. Members of their staff can assist with applying for many types of financial assistance, military benefits, disability insurance, voter registration and more.
