May 10, 2018 -- Early site work at the St. Paul’s Hollywood site is under way! The contractor is installing silt fencing, and earthwork is expected to begin within the next few weeks. You may have noticed construction on the neighboring site -- the new Town of Hollywood Town Hall. Once both sites have a safe, secure construction entrance, an official groundbreaking ceremony for the library will take place. Keep checking our website for announcements!

Final stages of design to begin soon at St. Paul's Hollywood

A final cost estimate for St. Paul’s/Hollywood has been received, and a GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) contract between the County and MB Kahn has been executed. The final stage of design, construction documents, will begin later this month, and site work should start within the next three to four months.

The County, CCPL, and MB Kahn are in the process of reviewing the final cost estimates for St. Paul’s Hollywood. Once the review is finalized and cost estimates approved, the team will move into construction documentation, the final stage of design.
Community members review architectural designs of new Hollywood library

Several community members attended a public meeting June 12, during which architects presented designs for the new St. Paul's branch. Following the presentation, attendees provided positive feedback and participated in a Q&A session with County, CCPL and contractor representatives to learn more about the construction schedule, building features and usage. The design team is now working on the design development stage, which is the second stage of the design process.

The St. Paul's/Hollywood design team finished schematic design and scheduled a community meeting for June 12 at 7 p.m. at E.B. Ellington Elementary School. Architects presented updated branch designs, and attendees participated in a question and answer session with CCPL and County staff.

Designers, engineers plan new site to be community hub

Engineers and designers spent late 2016 looking for a site that would allow for easy access to the new library for the greater Hollywood community. Designers also worked on floor plans that would make the space a community hub.
