What's a Pop Up Library?
We will have fun activities for kids and families to explore, materials to check out, and most importantly, kids and teens can have a spot to log their reading and pick up prizes! We know it may be tough for some to make it to a branch and we want to help kids and teens get prizes they have earned by the reading they do over the summer! Adults can participate in the Summer Reading program, too and be entered into prize drawings!
How do I use a Pop Up Library?
Just show up! These events are open to the public. You need a library card to check out materials, but everyone is welcome to visit the pop-ups and participate in the Summer Reading program.
What materials are available at a Pop Up Library?
We will have popular books and movies available for those with a library card for CCPL to check out! Don't have a library card? No problem! If you have an ID with proof of a Charleston County address, you can fill out the card application and get a card on the spot!
Can I do any activities at a Pop Up Library?
Yes! We will have everything we need to do a storytime, let kids explore STEM activities, and have cool games like Life-Size Jenga and Life-Size Connect Four!
