Originally from Statesville, North Carolina, Dyllan Rankin was attracted to Charleston County for its ideal balance of outdoor activities, historic preservation, and the small town community vibe in a growing region. He is currently residing in West Ashley with his wife, daughter and dog. As founding member of the Rankin Law Firm in downtown Charleston, Dyllan is a practicing attorney focusing on civil litigation and represents individuals, families and small businesses throughout the tri-county area.   

Dyllan is a member of the South Carolina and Charleston County Bar Associations and has been actively involved in leadership roles for community service initiatives through the Young Lawyer’s Division. In 2017, he was selected as a member of the S.C. Bar Leadership Academy. Dyllan completed his undergraduate studies at Washington & Lee University and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Charleston School of Law, where he has served as an adjunct professor and is a member of the alumni association board.

Dyllan was appointed to the CCPL Board of Trustees in August 2017.
