    • Abstract:
The article looks at an unpublished Latin manuscript, cataloged in the British Library as Zweig MS 168, which is purported to be an epitaph of philosopher René Descartes in the handwriting of philosopher John Locke. According to the author, the document is not in Locke's handwriting and contains several errors. It is suggested that the document may have been transcribed from Descartes' gravesite by a third party at Locke's request.
