    • Abstract:
The article offers the author's answer to a question on where he would draw the line between commercial and literary fiction. The author says that he would draw it up on the side of the Boston Public Library, or right between the frontal lobes of every writer who ever lived. He says that commercial fiction are produced and read faster than literary fiction. He also says that literary fiction is the book people think they must read, while commercial fiction is the book they want to read.
