This article focuses on Anthony Giglio's new book, "Cocktails in New York: Where to Find 100 Classics and How to Mix Them at Home." This book, complete with many startling photographs by Peter Medilek, is divided into eight basic categories. The "Proven Classics" chapter contains such drinks as the margarita, complete with a recipe from Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill, the Manhattan, as made at the Monkey Bar in the Hotel Elysée. The "New Standards" chapter details Mojitos juleps, a Spanish Manhattan made with bourbon and sherry.
