    • Abstract:
In the Russian case, the experiences of the First World War have long been eclipsed in importance by the October Revolution and Russian Civil War. The experiences of Central and Eastern Europe in the First World War have sadly not received a great deal of scholarly attention - not only in Western historiography, but also in the historiographies of Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe. While there remains a good deal of work yet to be done on expanding the historiography on Central and Eastern Europe during the First World War, the present volume constitutes a significant and original contribution to that growing body of literature and is well worth its spot on the shelf.
