LA IRONÍA O EL ARTE DE LA DESERCIÓN DEL ESPACIO PÚBLICO: EL CASO DE RACHID MIMOUNI. (Spanish) - Subject Terms:
- Abstract: La ceinture de l'Ogresse is a work that concentrates the political and aesthetic vision of Rachid Mimouni. The author expresses there, in an ironic mode, a scathing indictment against all the forms of authorities which have condemned Algeria to vegetate in the darkness of a medieval political system insensitive to the changes which have affected the world since the centuries of the Lights. This the revolt in the universe of Mimouni becomes possible only by the desertion of the public space, condemning the artist to a moral and aesthetic solitude. This article attempts to show how the author deconstructs, by means of dialectical irony, the revolutionary myth that accompanied the Algerian struggle for independence by showing that there was a kidnapping of revolutionary ideals in favor of a nomenklatura which directs the country through repression.
